Caravan Trip to Cappadocia — Fairy Chimneys at Your Own Pace

Pick up your motorhome in Istanbul, drive 700 km of modern toll roads, and wake up under a sky full of hot-air balloons.

Driving time
7 hr from Istanbul
Best season
April – June, September – October

Cappadocia is one of Turkey's most photographed regions — and seeing it by caravan turns a 3-day tour into a 7-day adventure. Our customers typically drive from Istanbul to Göreme in two travelling days, then spend a long week parked among the fairy chimneys, exploring valleys, balloon flights, underground cities and pottery towns. We provide a detailed route plan, a list of caravan-friendly campsites in Göreme and Uçhisar, and 24/7 support along the way.

The vehicles, insurance and pickup logistics on this page are operated by Aydeniz Karavan, our Istanbul-based parent operator. Turkish-speaking travellers can book the same Cappadocia trip directly at aydenizkaravan.com.

Cave-house campsites

Most Göreme campsites are carved into volcanic rock, with electricity hookups, hot showers and direct views of balloon launches at dawn.

Drive at your own rhythm

Skip the convoy bus tours. With a caravan you can stop at any valley, hike when you want, and cook dinner overlooking the chimneys.

Easy onward routes

From Cappadocia you can loop south to Antalya (5 hr), east to Mount Nemrut (6 hr), or back to Istanbul via Ankara (6 hr).
