Can I park a caravan in central Istanbul?
Central Istanbul is busy and parking restrictions are strict. We recommend staying at one of the city-edge campsites (Riva, Kilyos, Çamlıca) and travelling into the centre by metro or ferry. Our team provides the full list with addresses and pricing.
Is it safe to drive in Istanbul traffic?
Yes — Istanbul drivers are assertive but predictable, and main toll roads are modern. We avoid handing over caravans during the morning rush and offer a one-hour orientation drive if requested. Most international renters drive only the highway sections and use campsites on the outskirts.
Which airport should I fly into?
Both work. Istanbul Airport (IST) is on the European side and connects directly to highways heading west and south. Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) is on the Asian side and is ideal if your route goes east toward Cappadocia or the Black Sea.
